Couldn't help but smile at this....Chinese neighbours on one side and Russian on the other....both great neighbours and hope they never move  the Chinese neighbours particularly involved with the community.

Every race and every nationality has a similar percentage of good and bad people along some Gauss curve distribution. So, no doubt, there are (in percentage) as many nice Chinese and Russian people as there are nice Kiwi's. Same with the ar*eholes.

But that's all quite off the topic. While I don't know whether the NZ secret service has resources to spy overseas given that they seem to use plenty of resources to harass New Zealand journalists ... I am sure that there are as many nice western spies in China and Russia as there are nice Chinese and Russian spies in the West.

Actually - it sounds more that they are busy monitoring their own countrymen and women and making sure that they don't step out of the prescribed political line. You will find that Chinese students in the West are very careful to speak out - they know that some henchmen of the big secretary are watching them and if they don't behave their family in China will pay the price.

could the road to moscow now be open for the first time in modern history and is that why the west doesnt want ukraine to have 500 hundred modern tanks..

actually the west hasnt got that many to spare. The cold war draw down saw many armoured divisions wound down....

But imagine if it HAD!!!!  Imagine the UKE's doing what the great Napoleon and the Germans failed to do... overrun Moscow!!
