While "army personnel from Asian countries such as Laos" are now in the Kursk region is highly questionable.  Ukraine's military intelligence has claimed that Russia is coordinating with Laos to send engineering troops for mine-clearing near Kursk. However; Laotian authorities have denied this as entirely baseless.  No credible, independent confirmation supports the narrative that Laos is militarily involved in Russian operations.

Even if Laos were involved, the scale is tiny (reports speculate up to 50 engineers), and can mine clearing be compared to active combat ("to fight") as implied in the comparison with the Spanish Civil War?
