Uh-huh - US 10y treasuries rising again and already above Dumbs last trigger point to blink: 4.53%!

Question is - what do markets expect this time from him to "dejitter"? The 90 days tariff armistice which Dumb agreed to with China does not seem to suffice anymore? Clearly, markets don't trust Dumb anymore. While there are very slow learners around, maybe now even the slowest thinking investors seem to get the message.

Will be interesting to see how Dumb pays the fast rising federal interest bill, or should we plan for the US to stop paying their debt and go bankrupt - or do they just keep devaluing the USD? Bad for holders of US bonds and stocks, but hey, who cares, its US first, isn't it?

Latest debt tally (dated 6. March 2025) was US$36,56 trillion federal debt in dumbland.

For every 0.1 percent the interestrate rises, US taxpayers have to fork out another US$36.6 billion annually - just in interest payments.

They say there are no problems, just opportunities. So,while I agree that NZ can do little to fix the global crisis created by strongmen like Putin, Nethanjahu, Xi, Trump and some other wannabies - we could do a lot to determine how we get through it.

The question is - do we prefer to end up after the crisis in a position like Swtzerland (after WW2) - independent & wealthy, or do we prefer to end up like Albania: poor, destroyed and suppressed?

Both countries could not control the unfolding of WW2, but they both managed to determine their respective outcome, through actions or the lack of them.

Where do we want to sit at the end of the now unfolding crisis, and how do we get there where we want to be?
