We learned this stuff (financial literacy) 50 years ago in school. The called it "economics" back in Germany. Interest rates, company structures, share holdings, bonds, investment strategies, debts.

50 years later both big NZ parties agree that it would be a good idea to teach this as well in NZ. Amazing - it took them only half a century to test this idea for the specific New Zealand conditions ;

If we keep up this pace ... one day we might be first under the sun - hey, we are only two generations behind Europe, how hard can it be?

True; had a choice between 'economics' and 'business economics' at the time. Neither of them were compulsory though so the option was still a aisle to not learn about it.

It appears Putin's lackeys are running short of nerve agent - and interesting that they even seem to run short of windows in Moscow to practise the good old custom of defenestrating political opponents?

I would have thought that defenestration would work as well when the glass is already blown out by an Ukrainian drone? But maybe not so stylish.

Anyway, Russians downing their own planes sets a good precedent. Hope they continue this new trend.

Not that difficult with civilians everywhere. I guess its probably not too difficult to find a bunch of UKE friendly and Russian speaking civilians with the appropriate equipment doing some useful work in the zone illegally occupied by Russia.

Ah yes - and the S 400 requires radar. An easy target if you've got a missile with the right searchhead ...

What always surprises me as well is that there are not more Russian planes going down ... not that hard to hide and operate a stinger in the occupied area.
