Add to that from an NZ perspective....
After the recent flooding and cyclone more and more property or events may become extremely expensive to insure if not uninsurable altogether.

Well, I guess any war started with shooting first ... but to the best of my recollection did Hitler not shoot at unmanned and unidentified flying objects over his territory, but he "shot back" against an staged attack he arrange himself.

Not quite comparable.

Europe Gas's up...

The UGly bear reseve bank is selling 100 M a day.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2023/02/17/ftse-100-markets-live-news-natwest-results-retail-sales-ons/

"Moscow's finance ministry has pledged to stick to running a budget deficit of no more than 2pc of gross domestic product (GDP) this year, even as its spending outweighed income by nearly $25bn (£21bn) in January."

That would bankrupt this country in no time...

Hmmm interesting theory that, Waltz.  Maybe Clark's Labour was the real Y2K bug and we'd been looking in all the wrong places, eh. Quite a legacy to have brought a whole new world order into being, that's definitely something to tell the grandkids about.

A young person recently told me that a whole New system was going to be voted in soon.

6 weeks later the AG binned the new system. She had no idea that there was an AG in the behive or what the role is.

last 2 fridays the Rise of Empire and the 300 played in TV3 friday movie...

Young viewers probably think they are hollywood block busters fiction....

Pitty she did not whatch them...

Never forget the 300....

Aunty Helen might have forgotten..
