Pretty miserable numbers considering that the oil price has tanked in recent months so their fuel cost will be considerably lower.
Looks like the revenge travel spend is all done and dusted, and corporations are looking very closely at their travel expense budgets.  Can get a lot of meetings done remotely these days on Zoom or Microsoft teams to name just 2 platforms.  Covid cases back up to nearly 8,000 a week probably not helping people's confidence to get into a skinny cramped aluminum tube with strangers breathing all over you.

Investors might also notice the massive increase in competition on all international routes, it's only time before one of them have another crack at the domestic market, which is still a rort for AirNZ. Qantas is closest with their new smaller airbirds doing the Tasman crossing, they'd be a candidate for domestic routes.

Hey winner.....no comment that "she'll be right next half"?  You often post that - I'm guessing it is often tongue in cheek.  But it has got my wheels turning around over-optimistic forecasts by management.  We should beware the BS and if you didn't post that this time, does that mean AIR didn't say as much?  In other words, is there more pain to come beyond the current half?
