Just face it bro, Sky Broadband is a massive failure and is a money pit.

It's too competitive and it's stuffed up their customer service.

They need to close Sky Broadband and move all customer back to Vocus!

But, but...I am salivating about the 5000 customers they are gonna reveal nek month...

How would our business survive without them?

Bro, do Sky even have 5000 broadband customers yet?

Stuff Fiber had 20,000 customers when they "sold"/gave it away to Vocus.

Broadband isn't working as a retention strategy and it won't generate any earnings for the company.

Just more complaints and money out the door!

BROADBAND NUMBERS NEXT MONTH...

Mysterion

Imagine calling customer service for support with the new Sky Box. That's if you can even get one.

mistaTea

Sky love their customers so much that they tried to call the cops on them when they turned up out of desperation and became disgruntled!

Sky are very big on customer satisfaction!!

<Vodafone has entered the chat>

Vodafone: hey, just got $1.7 Billion from selling tower business. Any ideas?

They don't want sky.

They don't want to be in TV fullstop.

Mysterion

Bro, your telco idea has just been annihilated!

Broadband is dead, just lol at Sky Mobile.

This is proof that a takeover or merger by 2degrees is off the table.

Even Infratil don't want Vodafone anymore.

Spark Sport likely dead soon too. Although, small benefit to Sky I guess.

This also puts doubt on a Comcast takeover, as they too will likely be trying to spin of their telco assets.

The only logical buyer is warnerDiscovery, who own TV3. THEY'RE THE ONLY BUYER BRO!

The $2.30 offer by private equity is starting to look good. Especially to the larger institutional holders. Peter and Johnny boy probably on the phone now ironing out a deal.

A takeover is the only thing that will save Sky.

Agree a takeover is the best option for Sky (both her current shareholders and her ability to remain relevant long term).

But so far, nobody interested at all despite Sky's SP being statistically very low.

It's only "low" when you take out the cash and then value the Satellite customers over a 10 year period.

The best way forward now is actually buying Mediaworks and consolidating as much as they can. It will be a better takeover proposition with Mediaworks attached and after that restructure takes place.

In other words, takeover could be another couple of years away!

Mysterion

They should only return the cash if a takeover comes or is coming.

There's no point paying the cash back to shareholders.

They need to get Mediaworks back but at a better valuation.

Mediaworks deal is dead.

Let it go mate.

Bro, read the newsletter again!

It says deal was put off because of current economic conditions.

It only says "feedback" from shareholders.

It doesn't say anything about how management thought it was a bad deal. They said the opposite, that it was a good idea.

The rest of the newsletter goes on about a capital plan and it pretty much reads that they are holding onto almost all of the cash.

The "important" piece doesn't even mention a cash return. It just talks about a dividend.

BRO, the dividend is what investors get on condition they shut up and stop sending angry emails to the company.

Mediaworks is still on the table.
