It doesn't look great for Neon although it might inflate profits in the short term losing the cost immediately while the subscribers are shedded over time. I imagine WB was not offering a good deal on the rights given they want to launch their own service here. Long term I think this reinforces the idea that Sky will only be able to compete on sports given they have a near monopoly already.

Essentially in NZ they have a monopoly on sports rights only from having the NZR rights. Without that the whole bundle falls apart. So it is NZR who really controls skys fate at this point, in the form it exists today at least.

Oh no, not another dividend on the way. Very quiet around here lately. Interim Results numbers looked pretty good on 26/2/26. Was going to sell a few but ended up buying more on the result day. They upped the div from 8.5c in March 2025 to 15c in March 26. At $3.39 it is paying about 8.8% yld. Goes ex div tomorrow.
