Liz hoping that by the time shre retires as a director she's ahead on her shares

Nearly 3/4 million bucks under water ... average cost $1.05

Hasn't bought any for a while to average down again .... probably waiting for the capital raise that's apparently coming up

Think her and Tomlinson are closer to the company than the capital risers.
Only fiction at present,,or as we have become used to "fake news."

Why does she have to average down? Seems this theory assumes that she doesn't already own as many shares as she wants, same goes for Mr T. Just fake CR scaremongering like the unbalanced one on the other site.

She and the other directors have always taken the DRP, so maybe she's waiting for that which will in effect average down her holding value, assuming the SP DRP is less than her average when it happens (and that they do issue a dividend).
Age is not a good measure of ability

So will OCA sp hold the critical 70c level today?

Will management come out and categorically rule out a CR?

Meanwhile, the property market is feeling the onset of the autumn chill :

Talk to any real estate agent out there and they will tell you that vendors are still being unrealistic with asking prices.  And that includes RVs.

Something has to give.

Why should management come out now and rule out a CR , they aren't there to satisfy your morbid fascination, Balance. Are you hoping it will drop below 70c so you can load up? Have you got some other hobbies to entertain you?

Seen it all before.

Novice or naive investors professing long term investing while fretting over falling share prices and only wanting to read positive and affirmative postings, ignoring market realities.

Have a read of this from a shareholder in ATM who kept doubling up while the sp fell and fell :

"Not really an issue for long term holders as the article itself points out, the SP could triple looking a few years down the track IMO.Citi may also have ulterior motives in their recommendations."

Ulterior motives?  Well, Citi (& others) proved to be right.

Have we learnt from making losses?

We tried to share our experiences but received abuse as a consequence.

Back to OCA:

Start with why OCA's sp is falling relentlessly without attracting institutional support?

Untamed

All any of us can do is guess the answer to that question, because none of us know the answer. Not even you.
But what I do know, is that a great many people simply do not understand Aged Care. Nor do they fully understand the OCA "model of care."

Time will tell, as it does for everything. But as far as I am concerned, OCA is "well positioned" for the future of Aged Care in NZ.

I have posted and as far as I am concerned, Mav's post changes nothing.  He has completely missed the underlying reason for the steep sp fall of OCA.

Howdy everybody. As some of you might have noticed, the wheels fell of here once again. I have taken action to retain OCA related content while trimming personal attacks, inappropriate references and low quality negative posting. As this seems to keep happening, I have designated this thread with the "Strict" label. This label may be applied from time to time going forward to troubled threads for securities that have declined significantly in recent times. Posters in "Strict" threads may be very underwater and more sensitive to negative sentiment, requiring tighter standards to prevent problems occurring.

Moderation in this thread and others marked "Strict" will be much less forgiving, and penalties applied for posts in these threads will apply site wide.

Now, some of you may wonder "can I post something negative in a Strict thread?". Yes. You absolutely can and it is encouraged to provide CONSTRUCTIVE difference of opinion. However, posts that contain very little information or useful thoughts will be more likely to be removed. Frequent repetitive posting of the same information or thoughts is also more likely to be removed. If your posts are frequently removed from a "Strict" thread, you may start to receive warnings that could eventually lead to temporary posting suspension. If you are a user of a "Strict" thread, please make use of the report button where you think it necessary to help focus moderation on specific posts.

If you have a problem with this, I strongly suggest you avoid posting in "Strict" threads. It is unfortunate to have to this as I don't enjoy the idea of stifling one side of a debate, but some of you have shown blatant disregard for keeping the peace. I am open to discussing this in the dedicated post pinned in both the NZX topic and Help Centre Topic.

On Stocktalk's forum, the posters gather,
To discuss stocks and share their thoughts with each other.
Some are bullish, some are bearish,
But all are passionate, that's for sure.

Yet there are some who cannot stand,
When others post views that are contrary,
They blame them for their poor stock performances,
As if they had some control over market circumstances.

They call them trolls, and they rant and rave,
As if negativity alone could cause a stock to cave.
But markets are fickle, they rise and fall,
And blaming others won't solve the problem at all.

Instead, they should listen and learn,
To the views that others have to discern.
For in the diversity of opinion lies the truth,
And only by considering it can they find their proof.

So let them post their negative views,
And let the bulls and bears debate what to choose.
For in the end, it's the market that decides!

Why?

Perhaps the most over-boarded, over-rated director in NZ.
Just get management teams off the record and ask what they really think.
