This war is about

1) which country can supply more artillery shells for longer (hint - Russia needs already to fall back on the pariah nation North Korea to keep up, but then - the West has still not sufficiently ramped up production either)
2) which system's population is capable to stand a perceived suffering for longer (hint - The Russians trained their population for 4 continuous generations to suffer, they are used to it and they know they don't survive if they speak up, while the Western propulation already cries when its a bit more expensive for them to fill up with fuel to go the the third holiday trip a year).

This war is not about who has the most sophisticated 4th generation war planes.

Thanks to those who shared their military connections - it was less than I thought it would be.  I admire those who sign up voluntarily because it is not easy.  I could write a short story on my time with RNZA but I won't bore you with the details.  Good times, good times.  Especially on the firing ranges with small arms and when the big guns let loose.  It cost me my hearing...ACC disagree despite my having the perfect experimental 'control'.  It amazes me how the role of artillery has changed so much and so little in the past 110 years.
