... and don't forget people need to buy plenty of additional winter gear courtesy to the fragility of the NZ power grid. Aren't we all supposed to heat with electricity, unless its a cold day?

Better stock up on thermals and winter jackets at KMD before the next power outage looms :);

Go Retail, go ...

KW

• The Warehouse sales were $408.3 million in FY24 Q3, down 8.1% compared to prior year;
• Warehouse Stationery sales were $60.8 million in FY24 Q3, down 7.5% compared to prior year; and
• Noel Leeming sales were $224.7 million in FY24 Q3, down 9.3% compared to prior year.
Don't drink and buy shares in a downtrend, you bloody idiot.

Just how GRIM is it goin to be ... is it going to be a second coming coming of Roger D? or like Russia where they sold off everything!!!

And is this going to hit retail in NZ forcing the country into Brian E's period of stagnation...

Desperately needed good news for the N.Z. economy

The reason some stocks might be getting hit ... do the insto's get a early look at this stuff...

could be some real bargain later this year... imagine TRA at 3.50

https://www.interest.co.nz/business/127746/stats-nz-figures-show-retail-card-spending-fell-third-consecutive-month-seasonally

some stocks in yield might move up long before retail ... the last to receover later next year?

plenty of time to rebalance ..

Waltzing

has the economy crashed ?

who did that... who did that!!!

boy TRA at 3.50? notice the NZ only stocks are dropping ... not the retail with AUS ,,, but that could be next!

Waltzing

Retail in AUS could come back early as the AUS government goes big on consumer support via cost of living payments ....

WOW go AUS ... spent up ...electricity cost of living payments .. ect ect

Shop till you drop  Kangas ...

RBA wont be able to ease after all ...

Waltzing

Could the days of buying that wool lined bomber jacket be over?

Well this flock dont get sheared...  imagine no WOOL jerseys?

could save the economy though and the country comes out of stagnation later next decade or when?

I have never seen it so bad in Auckland.

Drunk driver tried to kill someone with his car and caused $100k of damage to the building.

Clothing shop owner calls it quits after several violent assaults trying to stop shop lifters. They heading back to China which they say is safer.

Baby products retailer calls it quits after 25 years and says our laws are rubbish and police don't come.

Customer brings in his dry cleaning and demands that he has it done that afternoon. When told it would be the next day punched the 75 year old lady in the face, putting her in Hospital.

Received a call from upset Jewelery tenant after his shop is ram raided by  teenagers. All the cabinets are smashed and the building is damaged.

Insurance broker saying he has struggled to get cover for our last renewal. If we can't get cover our building and investment is worth bugger all.

It's angry, poor, intoxicated, drugged, disenfranchised  people who are destroying people's livelihoods. We have guards and Maori wardens patrolling, but they are powerless.

These are all recent incidents our family have dealt with as owners of shops in South Auckland. Most of these were unreported in the papers but are happening every day.

That's my rant over. Time for a walk.
