So, on SSN they are offering a RWC Tournament Pass for $90.

A six week tournament.

Yet a monthly pass is $45/month (no contract).

So you would be better off to just pay monthly and cancel after the second month? You would get two or so more weeks of sport for the same price?

Who is doing their pricing?

If I can get two months of SSN for 90 bung, and I am being offered a tournament pass for the 6 week comp...

Wouldn't that only be attractive if it was a bit cheaper? Like $69.99 or something.


I must say though, if you are a sports fan - their annual pass is really good value. Works out to $37/month and they do have a lot of sport.

$1.23 per day for an extensive line up is pretty amazing.

Buy a weekly pass to get quarter final 3 + semi final 2 and you're pretty much sorted

I'm wondering wonder when SKY's buyback will re-commence? Anybody would think they're not committed to releasing the funds....

They've probably saving the money so they can make another offer for Mediaworks

No they have stopped the buyback so they can fulfil their promise to double the dividend!

The whole dithering about the buyback is typical SKY. Most companies get on with it and they do what they say they will do with no fuss. SKY likes to keep the market guessing, with typical results - a depressed SP. Maybe that's the plan - irritate the market and buy at reduced SP. In which case it's all going to plan.
At the very least an announcement should be made as to when they plan to start again and re-commit to the process, which was announced to a great fanfare (again, after they kept the market guessing for ages).

Sky have bought 1.7m of the approx 8.7m shares they intend to purchase. Last buy-back was on 1/6 so nothing for 4 months and no notice yet of when it's supposed to recommence. Maybe Paresh is on holiday or has forgotten to look at his To Do list?
