Yep, this is how they will wrangle top dollar out of the locals. Threaten to launch OTT.

As I keep saying, there are no good options from here for traditional aggregators. They either lose the content or pay way over the odds to retain it.

It's weird that Warner/Discovery doesn't want it. To me it seems that they have their eye on Sky instead.

Yeah, it's all gone quiet at SKY HQ. But of course, at SKY no news can be good news or it can be the pre-cursor to something abysmal. At least the SP is very stable at the moment

Spark sport been transferred to TVNZ. Could be good news for Sky.  $52m provision. Costly

As a result of the Spark Sport changes outlined today, Spark will recognise a one-off provision of $52 million in FY23, which includes ongoing obligations under content rights agreements that extend to FY28

Bit of movement in the shareprice the last couple of days. Sitting at $2.40 which is the share buyback price. Might be some news coming out that will likely push it back down again.
