 Russian K-51 grenade, a CS gas hand grenade used mainly for riot control. The K-51 is filled with 2-Chlorobenzalmalononitrile.

Perhaps their using it to get their own troops out of their bunkers?

The Soviet union choose for most of the time Ukrainian leaders. I suppose there was a good reason of that ;

Nikita Khrushchev came from the Ukraine. Leonid Brezhnev was a Ukrainian and so was Konstantin Chernenko.

The really despicable monster however hailed from Russia: Stalin.

He ruled not with brain but with fear, brute force and unspeakable brutality.

And I hear that Putin (a Russian as well) loves Stalin more and more.

So, yes - not hard to see where the Russian brains where coming from.
