NZD taking a hammering AGAIN. Hasn't been this weak in quite a while... certainly makes it less tempting to buy overseas stocks.

they're saying the same about the Sterling this morning, as they are about just about every currency...almost like it is orchestrated...

I'm guessing a large part of it is people flocking to the "safe haven" of USD in these troubling times, certainly cushioning my large losses on the Nasdaq 100 that's for sure. If it is being orchestrated as you say, what is the motive and by who?

The NZ dollar is not just underperforming against the US dollar, but against every other currency except the UK pound.  Even the Fijian dollar is appreciating against the NZ$.  Currently at $1.143 cross on the Aussie.
Don't drink and buy shares in a downtrend, you bloody idiot.

Our Kiwi $ has come back quite a bit since this thread originally started. Talk yesterday of a potential $0.69 in coming months.
