I agree with Salt's views on Tower. Have been long since 65c and taken some profits around $1.70. The yield is huge and valuation still alright but a takeover almost impossible unless a genuine 3rd party enters NZ.

Gross yield looking forward at $2.00 is around 11-12%...

I had a bit of cash on the sideline so decided to top up another tranche of TWR.

SCOTTY

Yes, I did the same on Friday 😜

I sold SPK today and reinvested in TWR.

I will be very surprised if TWR doesn't re-rate upwards after they go ex 16.5c divi on 14th January 🤔

Well my lovely GFL[usx] divie hit the bank at noon and now a good part of it has been recycled into more TWR shares for the 16.5 cps fully imputed divie on 29th January..

HAWKDOG

still trying to break through that $2.00 ceiling  :(

Damn, that was a strong finish. Didn't look like much volume today until the close. I'd love to see $2.20 before ex-div and close above $2 after ex div. Obviously higher the better lol.

Tower up strongly intraday and $2 now well and truely cleared.

Looking forward to my dividend later this month.

Tower trades ex dividend next Wednesday 14th and at the recent run rate might trade north of $2 even after going ex dividend !

I can't help myself wondering with it being such a monster dividend and there being no DRIP program, how many people might use the dividend to run their own dividend reinvestment program and buy more Tower shares ?

Dolcile

For what it's worth Basil, I did my own DRP in advance but dumping my emergency fund into TWR which will be repaid by the dividend.

Asked Grok to provide to analyse NZX Dividend stocks and provide me a list of the top 20

TWR was top of the list.  VHP was #20

This ranking favors stocks with resilient dividends (less likely to cut) and upside from strong fundamentals. For example, top picks like TWR and LIC combine high yields with robust balance sheets, while lower ranks have red flags like overextended payouts. If you need details on specific stocks or adjustments (e.g., sector focus), let me know!
