Quote from: KW on Jun 29, 2026, 03:43 PMI'm sure this goes on in every aged care home.  Hiring a lot of untrained and unskilled workers who have recently immigrated here and don't speak English well - is always going to end up with people working in jobs for which they are unsuitable.  You cant vet foreign workers, cant do police checks, cant do vocational checks.  All these workers need is a piece of paper saying they did some course at some organisation, and thats enough to get them a visa and a job.  There are no quality checks these days.

Is there any evidence in the above case that the alleged perpetrator was an unskilled immigrant?

Just wondering.

(The same Q could be asked of the management in this case?)

Yes Winner not getting any love lately.

RYM's trading update was soft, though consistent with SUM's update in late April. Resales are tracking flat YTD and below termination rates, suggesting unsold inventory continues to build. RYM will increase marketing spend with
the target of boosting resale volumes to match termination rates by the endof the year. RYM did not call out trends for new sales, but these appear to also be tracking lower, so that total sales are now likely to be down YoY. On the
positive side of the ledger, RYM guided to take more overhead cost out and for care margins to lift more sharply than previously expected.
