Is this the trigger

Minneapolis  (CNN Business) - Consumer prices rose 7.7% for the year ending in October, according to data released Thursday. The report was better than expected and surprised investors, with markets surging on the news. But the Federal Reserve still has far to go in its battle to tame inflation.

And Russia withdrawing from Kherson.

Today will be a good day.

Bloomberg headline today; "Stocks Spike by Most in Two Years"

That's the beauty of staying largely invested in dire times...... 'cos when the news changes (as history shows it always does,) - investors benefit big time.

Bring it on.

Mmmm interesting times certainly.

I didn't vote in the poll because I don't follow indexes much and favour TA/FA on individual stocks.

I guess the market is currently benefiting from some results season hype and some encouraging signs both in Ukraine and the USA.

Agree 100% FA and TA on individual stocks but the poll is just a bit of fun and mainly to gauge market sentiment.  It's not too late to vote, (closes 14 November), you might win the chocolate fish  :D   Should have had an option of `12,000+, you never know...
