Did not go too far down the track. NZ citizens are exempt from the FIRB restrictions. Funding wise there was a higher non resident LVR which meant from the main banks having to fund a 20 to 40 percent deposit, that might not be the case now.

Some apartments we looked at with good gross yields had very high maintenance and outgoings currently or I thought coming up. We would have rented it out with short term stays so that we could also use it when we wanted.
