NZSX50 - Good News!
It will take a 30% rise from current levels for the NZX50 to regain its peaks. I am pleased to be able to report that this will happen at 2.15 pm on 19/12/2022.
Naturally, such a confident assertion rests on a couple of minor assumptions :-
(1) The bottom of the Bear market was reached last week.
(2) The subsequent recovery will be above the usual 20% per annum.
Whatever happy juice you're drinking can I please have some of it ? ;D
Hope your right Bull.
Looking at the snp and the dow today it could be halfway there by Wed next week...
This surely isn't the real bull lol
Phaedrus post's on the other site would have helped so many aspiring investors I would guess. Certainly did me. What a loss......
Does anyone know a website with a correct listing and weighting of the NZX50 constituents?
The interest.co.nz list is close but for example still includes ZEL and doesn't include WHS.
Crikey the charts are almost looking optimistic...... must be a mistake?
Last night was one hell of a rebound.
Hopefully we don't find ourselves back in Covid red light situation in 2-3 weeks. However, industry selective that's not all bad news...

The red is no different from the yellow excepting a 200 limit on indoor gatherings and face nappies are required to be worn in a few more places.
Dow up again and oil down again. Are we getting to the bottom of the cycle or Clayton's bounce?
You may have actually called it!
Not one to toot my own horns, but I called it perfectly
World markets are overvalued along with NZX. Valuations are near all time-highs. Stock Market sell-off may come at anytime as they are running on momentum based trading. Besides herd mentality could change suddenly and unexpectedly.

SELL SELL SELL
The top must be in.
I'll happily hold tight and the stock market will continue its relentless trend from the bottom left to the top right. N doubt there will be some bumps in the road. Short term volatility is the price we pay for the returns that the stock market delivers over the long term.
Buy backs.....
