Title: How INZ is enabling a 'huge immigration scam
Post by: kiwi2007 on Aug 04, 2023, 10:30 PM
There is a huge immigration scam going on right now – and it is being enabled by Immigration New Zealand (INZ) according to Ankur Sabharwal who is the owner of immigration advisory Visa Matters..

INZ's "ask no questions" approach to the Accredited Employer work visa is leading to migrant exploitation and an influx of unqualified workers for non-genuine positions.

Amazing really but you've got to assume that the Immigration minister is fully aware of what's happening?

Yup, while this story is very sad, one cant help wondering if the attacker was known to the victim, and if it was for a particular reason - like refusing to refund their wages in cash to their employer or pay an immigration agent back in India, or something.  The attack seemed targeted not random.
And then you have to wonder, why are we importing immigrants just to work in a pizza joint?  And what's the value to NZ society of all these immigrants who are sending all their money back home rather than supporting the local economy?  So many questions the Govt really needs to start answering.

New Zealand is essentially running a visa-farming scheme for migrant workers.

Pretty much like the much-despised Gulf petro-states.

Shameful.

Usually I rate NZ Immigration pretty low - they are slow and useless in many respects. But the Accredited Employer is a scheme that works very well for honest employers. Even I find it hard to blame INZ for unsrupulious employers - of which there are many.

Blame really lies with MBIE and it Labour Inspectorate. They simply aren't pro-active enough in rooting out dodgy employers.

And then add to that Council, Government and large construction companies who fail to look at their sub-contractors.

If you want a more honest scheme - try to hire some one out of the Philippines - that's tough!

And worse the INZ is our education system where you can get a study visa, pay your money for attendance, get a qualification and then a student work visa for three. Dodgy as!

Im told by the Tax payer union that there are plans to List the MBIE on the NZX...

i did suggest that would have to hire hundreds of auditors.... but the lasr one i met turf it in and surfs at Java now... she said she wasnt very good at it...

with 6000 in MBIE and growing you have wonder when the Public sector will out employ the private sector... or does it already... anyone checked the stats lately?

to busy with US, Europe and AUSSI retail stats to notice NZ in the corner...

MBIE should not be confused with MIB who do a great job by the way... havnt noticed any aliens around here lately... though there are a lot of shootings going on in NZ lately...

There are Shooter ready shops around here and maybe they are doing good business still...

Who in their right mind would buy it. Too complex. Too full of public servants. Too much focus on minor languages, "service" ethos far from their minds, expences would far exceed revenue. What is there to like?

"What is there to like?"

oh dear you mean worse than that Food Bag company or that other beauty company that the Shaz has lost money in?

There are still some companies worth following right? although some retail investors have gone boating .... and sailed off into the wild blue yonder...
