Title: VNT Ventia
Post by: winner (n) on Apr 12, 2023, 03:10 PM
Ventia seems to be a hot stock. Deserves a thread here

Here's a post from a guy called percy over at the other place to get things moving.

Ventia Services Group Limited is an Australia-based essential infrastructure services provider in Australia and New Zealand. It has four segments: Defence and Social Infrastructure, Infrastructure Services, Telecommunications, and Transport. Defence and Social Infrastructure segment provides maintenance and support services to customers operating across defense; social infrastructure, including education, social housing, justice and health; local government; and critical infrastructure. Infrastructure Services segment supports ongoing maintenance of infrastructure including utility infrastructure and Resources and Industrial assets. Telecommunications segment provides end-to-end service capabilities that span design, supply, minor construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance of telecommunications networks and infrastructure. Transport segment provides maintenance, project delivery and technology solutions to owners and operators of road, motorway, tunnel and rail networks

And their results presentation 25th August 2022.

And today;
Ventia Services Group Limited (Ventia) has been awarded a significant contract with NBN Co. The
contract is an extension and new scope under NBN Co's Fibre Connect (Fibre to the Node to Fibre to
the Premises) program and is expected to deliver revenue of approximately $280 million to Ventia over
the next 2.5 years.

Their register is problematic. In early March the top two shareholders - CIMIC and private-equity firm Apollo clearly signalled that their intention is not long term by flicking off 93 million shares.  This did not do wonders for Ventia's share price short term.  CIMIC and Apollo still hold about 22 % in Ventia with a 90-day escrow period for those stakes.  Place your bets for further selldown in June.

Are they trading on the NZX, or wouldn't they be better placed in the ASX forum?

It was given away when it was 'floated'. $1.73 (Au) if I remember correctly? Easy money for those of us who bothered.
Now it's only on the ASX really. Here on the NZX it's mainly 'sharsies' buyers and sellers, very small packets and otherwise too much spread to be of interest.
Also no imputation on the dividend. Good company though.

Edit: Actually  $1.70 Aud at the IPO and went straight to  $2.08 first day trading.
