Ngā mihi o te wā / season's greetings.  It's thirty freaking degrees in the Hawkes Bay.  I'm camping...right under the heat pump.  I'd need a crowbar to get the dog up and outside.  Kids and mokos are thankfully at Splash Planet...hopefully right up until closing time. That'd give them every chance to get all their fighting and squabbling done for the day.   I did my Spotify Wrapped and I'm apparently in the top 3% of their listeners.  I guess that's an achievement?  Maybe I should update my CV with it. Hope everyone's Christmas goes well.  I'll be happy with anything, as long as it includes an afternoon nap.  Best wishes all, Hec.

Vell I zuppose I had better join een and vish vorum readers var and vide all ze best vor a happy vestive season.   Except of course vor zhat oversized rodent vith a big nose and ears, who must not be mentioned by name, and vancies himself as an allied 'vighter pilot'.

I am ztill having communication issues vrom ze Luftstreitkräfte to my own Jagdstaffel.   I have now received no communication zince 1918.  Ze enemy zeem well adept to blocking radio zignals!   Never mind, I vill continue to operate based on my 1917 Christmas orders, vhich vill see me take to ze skies on Chistmas Eve, patrolling ze Vestern Vront.  I am up vor vhat seems to have become an annual 'dogfight'.
