Hey Breeze, not so many sellers tonight. Bought 2 lots today some for 4.33 and the same amount on close of 4.33. Is this the bottom? time will tell but still need to buy another 5,000 to get back to my allocation.

Yeah tested $4.30 then quickly bounced back up so looks near or at the bottom, way oversold anyway. I've got as many as I can buy so time to start selling for a loss and buying back.

Good on you. Up nearly 10c since you bought in. If you would like to sell some back to me, I am buying in the 4.36 to 4.39 bracket :D

Overseas punters voting with their feet here, no confidence in the current NZ economy, the current Govt's scorched earth policies not helping after the last lot stripped the cupboards bare.

Glenorchy

It's starting to look really compelling but it's always difficult to judge entry at such moments.

Classic dividend trap time for lots of NZ companies at the moment...... the market is asking, "are current dividend levels sustainable in a depressed economy?"

The overseas punters selling here aren't asking that question, the dividend is of secondary importance unlike to the retail punters, SPK is a currency hedge and money parking spot for them and our current economic situation has too much risk so its vacate the parking lot time. Gosh that OCA troll SailorRob on the other channel has started rambling on the SPK thread over there I see.

The other channel is more than welcome to him and that other troll bull, such miserable individuals, both would drive a teatotaler to drink.

It can be hard to understand some of the movements in bluechip stocks at the moment but I reckon Breezy is onto it - half of NZX shares are foreign owned and at the moment NZ looks like a depressed, no growth country in the grip of Government austerity with a weakening currency. Not exactly a safe haven, hence the volume of funds (and people) exiting our shores.
